The world nowadays is gripped with the fear of Coronavirus and face masks are a very essential component to conserve us from capturing an infection. But due to the pandemic, the world is facing a shortage of these masks and for this reason judicious use of face masks is paramount. So, I am sharing pointers not simply on how to judiciously use face masks but how to reuse, sanitize and discard this necessary but biohazard product. Do not forget it's not just using a mask that is necessary but it's similarly crucial to use it correctly. Also, the worth of hand hygiene and sanitizing your hands with alcohol-based sanitizers or soap and water for at least 20 seconds can't be ignored. Don't forget to decontaminate frequently touched surfaces. Prevent touching eyes, face, nose and mouth as much as possible. Please discard used tissues likewise immediately in the dustbin. Also, sanitize the surface areas frequently with alcohol. Please fit the mask comfortably around the nose and it should be totally covering your nose and mouth and not simply hanging loosely around the neck otherwise the function of using the mask is beat. Don't ever touch the front surface of the mask as that's the contaminated part. The masks commonly in use are cloth masks, 3 layered surgical masks, and N95 respirator. I will be discussing all of these, one by one.
